Easy to set up, kept me dry on a rainy night. Plenty of room inside, and it packs away easily. Nice little tent!
This is a perfect size for backpacking. Such a cute little tent. Love it.
I'm going to be comparing this tent to the Lanshan 1 tent as the 2 are very similar.
The Lanshan 1 is the perfect tent in my opinion. It's super well-made, and is much more affordable than a comparable name brand tent.
The 2 tents are extremely similar, but there are a few differences that I want to address;
- The Lanshan 1 has YKK zips, the Trekker 1 does not;
- The Lanshan 1 is double walled, consisting of an independent full inner mesh tent, the mesh being no-see-um netting. The Trekker 1 is a 1.5 wall tent, consisting of the 2 long panels having a separate mesh inner, the mesh being mosquito netting which wont keep out small ticks.
- The Lanshan 1 costs about twice as much as the Trekker 1.
Otherwise, the 2 tents are similar in dimensions, weight, color and materials.
I think the few shortfalls the Trekker 1 has is made up for in the huge cost savings, however, I would be willing to pay more for the option of YKK zips and no-see-um netting.
First thing I did upon setup is replace the orange guy lines with black ones, and cover up the white logo with magic marker. I think it's safe to assume that those in the market for a forest green tent would also want earth tones in the guy lines and logo.
Great product at an unbelievable price. I purchased this tent for an upcoming bikepacking trip and will add more after I finish! Very impressed for the money
I could not be happier with this Trekker Tent 1 as a lightweight yet affordable option to backpack camping. In a world where saving as much money as you can is important this tent does not disappoint. Great quality fabrics and seems very well made. Thank you River Country for this option.
