I’ll go 5 stars, but read on to make sure this is for you.
Pros:
- The hatchet head is actually quite nice. Works well for small branches/kindling.
- the knife was actually better than expected. Seems to be quite heavy duty and like it’ll hold up to some work over time.
- Ditto the other tools inside the handle. They’re all well made.
- It works as a great screwdriver. It’s narrow enough to fit in some pretty small openings. BTW, the screwdriver opening is at the very top of the tool above the hammer/hatchet.
Potential Cons:
- The hammer head is tiny (like, SUPER tiny). This saves on weight, but it’s not the easiest thing to use. That said, it still managed to get my tent stakes into relatively hard West Texas dirt in a drought.
- The screwdriver tips are only held in place by friction. I think I’ll honestly store them separately.
- The hatchet was incredibly dull on arrival. I took a grinder to it and got it at least usable, but it does take a bit of work.
